Three-axis scanning solves many of your most costly measurement challenges
LaserLinc's Three-Axis Triton Micrometers provide near-perfect measurements of ovality/eccentricity of elliptically shaped products, regardless of the angle at which they’re measuredthereby minimizing material costs and assuring the highest quality products and return on investment. These three-axis micrometers are also approximately three times better than two-axis micrometers at detecting flaws. Measuring the ovalityalso called eccentricityof nearly round and elliptically shaped products with a dual-axis micrometer is prone to error (see graph below). LaserLinc’s three-axis scanners eliminate these errors because they accurately measure your product regardless of the angle at which it is oriented.

Three-axis measurements are your most precise and profitable solution for inspecting the outer diameter and ovality of products such as catheters, insulated wire and glass rodsas well as measuring the outer diameter and eccentricity of all types of machined parts.
As for hard-to-find flaws that do not encircle the product, a LaserLinc three-axis scanner is more than twice as likely to detect such flaws as a two-axis micrometer.
Three-axis micrometers also measure average diameter far more accurately. For example, if your product is supposed to be round but is actually out-of-round by 5%, a single-axis micrometer may have as much as a 2.5% error in diameter measurement. With a three-axis Triton Micrometer, your error due to product orientation can be eliminated.
Three axes of measurement, set 60 degrees apart, provide virtually 100% inspection of your products:
• Wire & Cable
• Medical Tubing
• Extruded Plastic
• Extruded Rubber
• Discrete Parts
...whatever your precise job, LaserLinc is ready!
These high-performance Triton Three-Axis Micrometers are designed to add an entirely new dimension to your product measurement and inspection process. Imagine the measurement power and precision you can achieve by linking one, two, or even four of these three-axis micrometers directly to the TLAser400 Laser Micrometer Interface Card and advanced Total Vu Software in your PC. It’s another important way that LaserLinc helps you capitalize fully on your computer's enormous processing power and analysis capabilities.
