Except for its two-part housing, the single-axis TLAser122s micrometer is identical to the standard TLAser122. Separating the transmitter and receiver in their own respective units enables you to mount them further apart to scan larger products and multiple assemblies. One of the leading applications for the TLAser122s is multi-strand measurement. A large array of strands would be obstructed by the connecting base of the standard TLAser122 design. Measuring large products is another frequent application for the TLAser122s, because the transmitter and receiver can be mounted farther apart; in additon, mounting farther apart enables safer measurement of extremely hot products. Both the TLAser122 and TLAser122s models can be connected to a PC by means of the TLAser400 micrometer interface card to achieve unparalleled processing power and flexibility at relatively low cost.
